Notetaking

Note taking accommodations may be available if your disability impacts your ability to take notes in class.

Some professors may post their lecture notes on Blackboard for all students.

Some students find it helpful to audio record their lectures or use other electronic devices for note-taking.

Other students benefit from a peer note taker. If a peer note taker is one of your academic accommodations, you can ask your instructor to help you recruit a classmate to share copies of their notes. There is a self-serve photocopier in the DRS lobby as well as carbonless paper for students' use. If you have difficulty locating a note taker, contact your DRS coordinator.

The note taker packet provides information for you, the peer note taker and the professor.
