University Housing and Residential Life is dedicated to the inclusion of students with disabilities and offers a broad range of accessible housing options. Requests for accessible housing are considered on a case-by-case basis and assignments are made on a first come, first served basis.

To Request Accessible Housing

Step 1

Submit your housing application and deposit. For more information on how to submit your housing application and deposit, visit the University Housing and Residential Life website.

Step 2

Pre-register with DRS using MyDRS to complete the student information form and submit supporting documentation.

Step 3

Accommodation placements approved by the priority housing deadline will be made within approximately 2 weeks. After the priority deadline, approved accommodation placements will be made as availability allows.

Accessible Room Features

Accessible room features include:

  • Single room
  • Private bedroom within suite
  • Fully accessible unit with roll-in shower
  • Auditory enhancements – strobe light doorbell
  • Room with private bathroom
  • Shower chair or bench
  • Keyless entry door
  • Emergency call buttons
  • Low height shelving/fixtures
  • Air conditioning
  • Room with kitchen
  • Modification to meal plan
