Housing
University Housing and Residential Life is dedicated to the inclusion of students with disabilities and offers a broad range of accessible housing options. Requests for accessible housing are considered on a case-by-case basis and assignments are made on a first come, first served basis.
To Request Accessible Housing
Step 1
Submit your Housing deposit. For more information on how to submit your housing deposit, visit the University Housing and Residential Life website.
Step 2
A) Complete the Housing for Students with Disabilities Form through MyForms in MyHousing via the TU Portal.
B) Register with DRS using MyDRS to complete the student information form and submit supporting documentation.
Step 3
A housing assignment will be made within three (3) weeks of request provided that you submit all required information in a timely manner.
Accessible Room Features
Accessible room features include:
- Single room
- Private bedroom within suite
- Fully accessible unit with roll-in shower
- Auditory enhancements – strobe light doorbell
- Room with private bathroom
- Shower chair or bench
- Keyless entry door
- Emergency call buttons
- Low height shelving/fixtures
- Air conditioning
- Room with kitchen
- Modification to meal plan
