Housing
University Housing and Residential Life is dedicated to the inclusion of students with disabilities and offers a broad range of accessible housing options. Requests for accessible housing are considered on a case-by-case basis and assignments are made on a first come, first served basis.
To Request Accessible Housing
Step 1
Submit your housing application and deposit. For more information on how to submit your housing application and deposit, visit the University Housing and Residential Life website.
Step 2
Pre-register with DRS using MyDRS to complete the student information form and submit supporting documentation.
Step 3
Accommodation placements approved by the priority housing deadline will be made within approximately 2 weeks. After the priority deadline, approved accommodation placements will be made as availability allows.
Accessible Room Features
Accessible room features include:
- Single room
- Private bedroom within suite
- Fully accessible unit with roll-in shower
- Auditory enhancements – strobe light doorbell
- Room with private bathroom
- Shower chair or bench
- Keyless entry door
- Emergency call buttons
- Low height shelving/fixtures
- Air conditioning
- Room with kitchen
- Modification to meal plan
