These notetaking apps all come student approved! They are broken down into free and paid apps, for easier browsing. System requirements are noted.

Free

Glean by Sonocent

(Chrome Browser, works on ALL devices that support Chrome)

 

This is a notetaking app that allows you to record your class, and allows you to attach your notes directly to the recording in real time. It creates a visual outline of the notes you’ve taken, and will take you to the section of the recording that it is pinned to.

OneNote 

(Windows)

 

OneNote is Microsoft’s one-stop-shop for all things note taking. Create and organize binders, scan handouts, hand write, type, and color code tour way through notetaking. 


This program includes many built in accessibility features to augment your preferred learning style.

Notability

(iPad & Phone) 

This app allows students to record audio notes, draw, handwrite, or type notes into their iPad or iPhone.

Evernote

(Mac, Windows, Android, OS & iPad OS)

 

Free to download and use basic features, EverNote allows you to synch all of your notes across devices.
